We had a small but successful drop in class this week with Leon. Here is what you missed:
- a discussion of ‘The Bill Murray Technique: How To Improvise Through Anything’ – about how we are all improvising all the time (amongst other things, definitely worth a read);
- ‘Wa-skida’ – a focus game that helps you stay in the moment where energy is passed from person to person through exclaimation and gesture;
- ‘Word at a time story’ – a narrative game focusing on being in the moment and letting go of your own agenda; and
- ‘Relationship scenes’ – scenes for two or three players where they establish an environment and a relationship by not talking for 30 seconds before playing out the resulting scenes.
Drop-in classes are great fun and the best way to improve your improvisation for anything from auditions to blind dates.
